Pedestrian Struck on Highway

DALLAS COUNTY On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, between 5:50a.m. and 6:00a.m. a pedestrian, identified as 76-year-old Carlos Serrano Guerrero was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Interstate Highway 30 and Buckner. 

The suspect vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the location eastbound on I-30 and is described as a 2017-2020 Honda Accord, silver or grey.  The suspect vehicle is reported to have front-end damage and damage to the passenger-side headlight.

Dallas County Sheriff's Office is asking that anyone with information  or dash camera footage to contact Crime Stoppers.

Operation Texas Kill Switch
June 12, 2024

Our local Crime Stoppers Program is partnering with Texas based ATF agents in a program called “Operation Texas Kill Switch”.  The initiative will be in effect now until August 31, 2024.  During this time, we encourage the community to turn in anyone manufacturing, selling or possessing the devices called a “switch” that converts a gun into a fully automatic machine gun. 

Crime Stoppers will offer a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the apprehension or prosecution of those who possess the switches or who possess 3D printers used to manufacture the devices.

Hattiesburg Mississippi Suspect Sought
May 21, 2024

Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in identifying the Suspect in an Attempt Murder that occurred on January 11, 2024, at 7400 Highway 49 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

 

The Suspect is described as a black male, approximately 275-350 pounds, 6’2” - 6’4”.

Suspect can be seen in surveillance photos wearing a black and red jacket underneath a black “SOX baseball” style letterman jacket, gray jogging pants and tan/brown work style boots. The suspect fled the location in a white 2008- 2010, 4 door Honda Accord with tinted windows and a sunroof.

U. S. Postal Inspection Services Needs Help Finding a Robbery Suspect
March 29, 2024

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who robbed a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) letter carrier. The robbery occurred on March 15, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., in the area of the Slate at Fort Worth Apartments, located at 4720 Wellesley Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
 
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall, in his early 20s, thin build, with short black hair, wearing a black hoodie with an off-white logo on the front, black shorts with a green stripe, black socks and black flip-flops.

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at approximately 10:12 p.m., Dallas Police Officers responded to a shooting call where complainant Michael Chalmers was shot and killed by an unknown suspect(s) at 8733 Dunlap Dr.  Homicide Detectives are asking for assistance with any information regarding the death of Mr. Chalmers or any person(s) of interest involved in the shooting death. Case # 130131-2023.

Information Wanted on Fatal Shooting
January 17, 2024

On December 11, 2023, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Aarzo Jones was believed to have been shot at 10500 Lake June Road.  The victim was taken by private vehicle to a Mesquite hospital, where he died from his injuries.  

The investigation is ongoing and documented under case number 220043-2023.

Who is Starting the Fires?

The Grayson County Fire Marshal’s Office is asking for the community’s help in solving a series of arson fires in the Southmayd, Texas area. These fires have involved multiple hay bales, fields and pastures occurring over the past 18 months. Most of these fires have occurred between 5pm and midnight.

Dallas Murder Suspect Identified- Where is he?
November 17, 2023

Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help in a homicide that took place in the 800 block of Wayne Street.

 

On November 12, 2023, at about 11:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Wayne Street.  The preliminary investigation determined 46-year-old Renne Gonzalez, was shot at the location.  Gonzalez was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. This investigation is documented on Dallas Police case #201070-2023.

 

The man pictured was seen leaving the scene. Detectives have identified him as Marco Martinez L/M 43 years of age. Detectives are asking that you call with any information as to his whereabouts.

Up to $25,000 Reward for Sunnyvale Shooting Suspect
July 27, 2023

Sunnyvale, TX - On June 6, 2023 at approximately 5:59pm, officers responded to a shooting at 201 Planters Road, Sunnyvale, Texas (Riverstone Trails Apartments). Five individuals were shot while sitting in a vehicle.  One victim, Tyesha Merritt, a 27-year-old black female, died on-scene of gunshot wounds.  Although four others were wounded, it is believed that Merritt was the intended target.

 

Witnesses and security camera footage identified the suspect vehicle to be a 2017-2020 Black Toyota Camry.  The suspect, which was the passenger of the Camry, was briefly seen and was described as a black male with a mask. The suspect was seen on video footage exiting the suspect vehicle from the passenger side and firing 9 shots into the victim’s vehicle and quickly re-entered the suspect vehicle.  The male appeared to be over 6’ tall.
